Social and military history of Latin America and the Caribbean; Asian migration to the Americas: Transcultural entanglements, ethnic ascriptions and discrimination; Latin America and U.S. hegemony, 19th-20th century; Latin America, the United States and Europe during the Cold War; Social movements, resistance and revolutions.

Expertise relevant to the Forum:
Processes of negotiating ethnicity, identity, and transculturality in the context of migration from China and the Philippines to New Spain and Peru in the colonial era; ethnic representations in revolutionary processes and social movements (19th to 20th century); oral history.
